LIONS V BELLE VUE, PREVIEW

HEAT-LEADER Charles Wright admits Leicester are “fired-up” to end the season in style after a tough run of results.

The Watling JCB Lions host Belle Vue at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena on Monday (7.30), hoping to return to winning ways after eight straight defeats.

“The results haven’t been what we want, far from it,” Wright said.

“But the boys are working so hard. We all want to score points.

“I think it’s absolutely vital that we end the season on a high. It’s obviously tough for everyone when results just aren’t happening.

“The most frustrating thing is that you are working flat-out to get it right, putting in so many hours on the bikes and on the road.

“It’s sometimes hard to accept when you are not getting the right rewards for that effort but hopefully we can change that.”

With Josh Auty our injured, Lions will use Berwick’s Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen at reserve.

A reminder that fans’ favourite Kauko Nieminen will be making a special visit on Monday.
Nieminen is visiting friends on a trip over from Finland and has been invited to the meeting as guests of the club.
He will be available to meet fans, sign autographs and have pictures at the entrance to the stadium.

LEICESTER: Hans Andersen, Ricky Wells, Charles Wright, Stuart Robson, Scott Nicholls, Connor Mountain, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen.

BELLE VUE: Craig Cook, Steve Worrall, Dan Bewley, Rohan Tungate, Max Fricke, Mark Riss, Dimitri Berge.
